We couldn't be more pleased with the work Jose and his crew did rebuilding our front porch. The original porch was not built correctly and sank. Jose rebuilt it from the foundation up. We have dealt with contractors over the years, and most of the time they show up whenever they want, sometimes don't do what they promised, etc. This is not the case with Jose. He was in communication with us during the entire process. The weather didn't cooperate and delayed him, but he reached out to let us know exactly when he would be back and at what time. He treated our property with respect and did an excellent job of cleaning up the work site. Again, we cannot recommend him highly enough. ~ Brian P

We needed brick repair done for a long time. We kept putting it off, dreading the hassle of dealing with a contractor for a relatively small job. We did not have any spare bricks.Jose worked with my wife to salvage replacement bricks from an out of the way retaining wall to make the repairs. Jose did the majority of the work himself with an assistant for safety and material management. He did the work quickly, cleanly, and for a fair price. He was very pleasant and friendly to work with and around. I would not hesitate to recommend him or use him again for services. ~ Graham B

Contacted Jose on Wednesday 02/11/26 to schedule an appointment for some brick repairs and supports. He visited the job site early Thur 02/12/26 and gave a quote for repairs. Jose and one other person arrived at 9:20AM on Fri 02/13/26 to start job. They completed all the work in under six hours. When he visited the job site, I requested the work be completed ASAP. They did that and I was not only fully satisfied, but amazed at the quality of work that was accomplished. I would recommend JZ Construction to anyone needing this type of work. JZ construction completed a masonry repair job on our front porch this morning. He showed up on time and ready to work. He did an excellent job and even filled some extra cracks with new mortar in places on our porch because he was concerned of rain and weather causing damage in those places as well. We greatly appreciated his work ethic, enthusiasm, expertise, and honesty. If we ever need masonry work done in the future he will be the first person we call. Jose and his team at JZ Construction were wonderful, exceeding our expectations. They installed a concrete crown and stone (perfectly matched to existing stone) on our chimney’s exterior and we couldn’t be happier with our experience working with them and with how the project turned out. From start to finish Jose was an excellent communicator, responsive, helpful, and knowledgeable. We appreciated how good he is at problem solving and making suggestions along the way to improve our end result. He also kept us informed of next steps and reviewed each bit of progress with us for our approval before moving forward. Jose was onsite everyday actively managing his crew (who were all kind & skilled) and would even step in to help with the work where needed. Oh, and they did QUALITY work. Jose made it very clear that his main objective was to leave us satisfied. And he surely did. Jose and his team built two columns like my mailbox in my front yard. The job was excellent. It was completed in one week's time. Everyone arrived each day on time and worked until about 5:00 p.m. when job was finished, everything was cleaned on the site and returned to normal. Before calling Jose, I had tried two other contractors. They didn't even return my phone call. Jose responded immediately when I called and came and viewed the site before making an estimate. They came out and gave us a quote the day we called. Estimate was reasonable enough we didn't feel the need to get another. From the time of the phone call to finishing the project they were done in less than a week. They were easy to work with and seemed very reliable and trustworthy. Our front brick steps were crumbling and the mortar was falling out, so we called Jose. He responded quickly, gave a fair quote, and completed the work within a week. His masonry skills are excellent—the steps look brand new. He also made additional mortar repairs around our home and they blend perfectly. I highly recommend JZ for concrete and brick repair work. They did an excellent job retucking our brick porch and making brick repairs at various places on our house. They also repatched our sidewalk and driveway which was flaking and spalling. Jose and his guys repaired our chimney brick face. The price was reasonable so we scheduled the work. Jose and the crew were out a couple of days later and completed the job in 1 day. JZ did an amazing job! I had some loose bricks that I pulled up. By the time I was done removing all the loose pieces, I had two rows of brick that needed to be repaired. I'm no masonry expert, so I called the pros. The team came and knocked out the job on a day with a high heat advisory. They powered through it like champions and got it done. VERY RELIABLE AND DETAIL ORIENTED I highly recommend this company. Their price was reasonable. The job I had done was to repair brick steps that were deteriorating. They now look brand new. In addition to the repair, he pressure washed a brick retaining wall and repaired a break in my sidewalk. Although it was a messy job he left everything spotless. ~ Patricia C

We did some remodeling and moved a door and took out a window. They replaced our brick so well! It is flawless! They even went the extra mile and found our hard to find mid-century brick. Jose Zelaya at JZ construction has done several projects for us in the last year. From a brick fence column (and removal of old column), to a curved 8' long brick firewall, to a 20' diameter mortared flagstone patio.
